Well this recipe is sure to help us out solve that dilemma

Well people from the entire south east asia and especially the Indian subcontinent have always known to be "jugadus"

People here rarely let food go the waste ! People here know the importance of a single grain of food all thanks to the majority of people living in poverty. This has made people come up with ingenious ways of using up every part of the animal that they consume, they let nothing go to waste and make sure to get the maximum out of a chicken for sure.

A combination of chicken and pulses is eaten in a lot of different ways, a combination of meat and chickpeas is famous in the Middle East especially Turkey.

The very adaptation of the combination of chicken with pulses In the Indian subcontinent is known famously as Dhal Gosht or Dhal chicken or Dalcha. It is usually made in weddings where a large crowd is to be fed and is mostly a combination of channa dhal (split chickpeas) with chicken or mutton. It is very very economical and extremely delicious.

Also the extra pieces of chicken like the wings or the neck and livers are used in making this dish.

Well my adaptation to this is rather cheeky, I have come up with the best way of converting the left over chicken curry from the previous meal into a completely new meal via means of this curry.

I find it brilliant!! Let me know if you do too.

It is rather very very easy and is ready very fast and with the least amount of cutting and chopping to do.

So lets get started

Serves 4-8

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity

Chicken curry or waste pieces → Any quantity that is left over

Onion → 1 medium/ chopped

Tomatoes → 1 medium/ chopped

Spring onions → 1 cup chopped

Coriander leaves. → 1 cup chopped

Whole red chilli → 2 - 4

Cardamom pods → 4 - 5

Black cardamom → 1 large

Cumin seeds → 1/2 teaspoon

Cloves → 2-4

Kashmiri Red Chilli powder → 1 teaspoon

Turmeric powder → 1/2 teaspoon

Coriander powder → 1 1/2 teaspoon

Cumin powder → 1/2 teaspoon

Channa dal → 1 cup approx. 250gms

Water → 200ml

Salt → To taste

Oil → 1 tablespoon

Tomato ketchup → 1 tablespoon

Method

Step 1 Getting the ingredients of Dal Chicken in order:

I have always seen that before cooking, getting the items in order plays a vital role in the outcome of the dish.

Firstly, you do not miss out on ingredients.

Secondly, I am clumsy so whenever I try to fiddle around trying to get the ingredients in the course of making the dish. I always burn something!! Relatable?

Anyways steps

- Wash and soak the dal, overnight preferably, but around 2-4 hrs of soaking is also acceptable.

- Chop the tomatoes, spring onions , onions and coriander leaves and assort the spices.

Get the curry out of the fridge if you are using left over curry, or else cut and wash the pieces of raw chicken you wish to cook with.

Step 2 Starting the Dal Chicken curry:

- Take a pressure cooker and heat oil around 1 tablespoon. Any oil will do.(tastes best with ghee )

- Add cumin seeds, cardamom pods, black cardamom(bruise before adding), coriander seeds, cloves and red chilli , let the ingredients sauté.

Step 3 Frying the main ingredients of Dal Chicken:

- Add the onions and tomatoes. Let it soften for around 2 minutes

- Next add all the spices, red chilli powder ,turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and salt, sauté for a minute.

Step 4 Adding the Channa dal:

Once it softens a bit and the spices are incorporated into the tomatoes and onions add the channa dal. Mix well

Step 5 Adding the Chicken:

- Add the tomato ketchup (any tomato ketchup will do); you can skip too if you wish.

- Add the chicken curry or the chicken pieces : if you add the curry you do not need to fry for 2 minutes, if you add raw chicken please do fry for 2 minutes.

Step 6 Closing off the cooker after adding the final ingredients:

- Add 200 ml of water.

- Add the spring onions and coriander leaves.

- Mix well and close the lid of the pressure cooker , for 5 whistles

Step 7 Cook for Five Whistles:

Once done serve with roti or rice, it goes great with both

People in North India as in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab etc prefer it with Tawa roti

Usually it is eaten with rice in the North Eastern part of India and Bengal.

Prawns have been eaten all over the world and in India it has been popular in the entire coastal areas , each area have their own ways of cooking them like the Malabar prawns curry from Kerala, the prawns Chettinad from the Chettinad region of Andhra ,prawns vindaloo from Goa, Prawns Ghee roast from Dakshina Kanada and the famous Daab Chingri from Bengal.

This here is a very easy take on the coconut prawn curry which goes well as a weekday meal as it is ready in no time and with minimal effort.

I have been eating it since childhood, my grandma would make this often and this is her recipe, we would eat it with rice and a piece of lemon and green chilli.

The waft of fried prawns would fill my home and I would totally look forward to dinner time.

Prawns are rich in vitamins B6 and B12 and has significant amounts of iron. It is Infact really healthy.

This is one of the best prawn curries you can make with the least ingredients and is easy enough for beginners to make too.

You can adjust the spice level of this curry as per your taste, you can make it into a spicy prawn curry or leave it bland, its totally upto you.

The texture of coconut and the taste of the plump prawns make this dish totally worth it, the flavours are amazing and you will totally love it

Prawn Curry Ingredients

- Tiger prawns → (1 kg, around 500 to 600 gms remain after cleaning)

- Onions → (2 medium/ chopped)

- Tomatoes →(1 medium/ chopped)

- Garlic cloves → (7 to 8 cloves)

- Coriander leaves→ (1/3 cup chopped)

- Green chillies →(1 or 2)

- Fresh or dessicated coconut → as per availability (1 cup)

- Mustard seeds → (1 teaspoon)

- Red chilli powder→ (1 teaspoon)

- Turmeric powder →(1 teaspoon)

- Salt →(As per taste)

- Sugar → (1/2 teaspoon)

- Cinnamon → (1/2 inch broken to pieces)

- Cardamom → (5 to 6 pods)

- Black cardamom → (1 large)

- Garam masala powder → (1/2 teaspoon)

- Oil → (2 tablespoons)

- Chicken or fish masala → (1/2 teaspoon (optional))

- Lemon → (Juice of 1 medium sized lemon)

- Cloves → (5 to 6)

- Tamarind → (A ball of 2 cms)

Step by Step Prawn Curry Cooking Guide

Step 1: Getting the masalas in order for Coconut Prawn Curry.

Step 2: Chopping the basic ingredients and getting the coconut paste ready for Coconut Prawn Curry

- Roughly chop the garlic, onions and tomatoes.

Next, in a blender add dessicated coconut or fresh coconut 1 cup, with a spoon of mustard seeds, 1 whole green chilli,tamarind and 1/2 cup water,blend it into a fine paste.

Step 3: Preparing the prawns for Curry

- Thoroughly wash and clean the prawns

Marinate it with a teaspoon of turmeric, red chilli powder and salt and leave it aside for 10 mins(optional)

Step 4: Getting the onion and tomato paste ready and starting the prawn curry

- Slightly fry the onions tomatoes and garlic with very little oil and then blend it into a paste

- Next shallow fry the prawns for 2 minutes, remove from oil

- Then add the garam masala viz cloves, cinnamon, cardamom and black cardamom to the oil, fry until they release their aroma.

Step 5: Frying the masalas for Prawn Curry.

- Once the aromas of the garam masala release, add the onion paste and fry the masala very well

- Next add the salt, sugar, chicken masala and garam masala powder and fry for another minute or until the masala releases oil.

Step 6: Adding the coconut paste

- Add the coconut paste already prepared and mix it thoroughly.

- Once it incorporates well, add the prawns

Step 7: Mixing the prawns

- Mix the prawns well with the masala

- Add 1 cup or 250ml of water, preferably warm water , cover it and let it simmer until the prawns are done for 5 to 7 minutes

- Add the juice of one lemon, mix well and its ready

- You can also use 1/2 teaspoon vinegar instead of lemon juice.

Garnish with coriander leaves and your coconut prawn curry is ready , a plate of hot steaming white rice and the prawn curry are friends for life.

Here are few commonly asked questions about this recipe and I have tried my best to answer them for you.

Question 1: What is the difference between prawns and shrimp?

They are just anatomically different species, however they taste no different, in some places shrimp are said to be sweeter.

Question 2: Do prawns cause allergy?

A recent study shows that 1 in 100 people have a seafood allergy, so it is advisable to get the allergen test done if you are unsure, some people get urticarial rashes, some get more severe form of allergies like anaphylactic shocks and laryngeal and angio oedema. Hence always get tested if you are new to eating seafood.

Question 3: How to remove the smell from prawns?

Washing the prawns with a little bit of vinegar or marinating it for 10 to 15 minutes in vinegar helps to remove the smell.

Question 4: Do I always need to devein the prawns?

Deveining prawns is a matter of aesthetics and keeping it intact does not alter the flavours in any way.

Question 5: Are black prawns safe to eat?

Black spots occur when the shell on the prawns begin turning black within hours or days of harvesting ,this is due to an enzyme process causing oxidation in the prawns , just like apples oxidise after cutting them, its not harmful however it does not look appealing, that is all.

Question 6: How to get the maximum flavour from prawns?

Lightly sealing the prawns in oil over low flame before the actual cooking process helps to release maximum flavours from the prawns. This is something my grandma taught me.

Question 7: Can prawns be eaten raw?

Though in some places prawns are eaten raw, it is advisable not to as raw prawns may contain the bacteria Salmonella. Cooking them thoroughly before consumption is advisable.

Question 8: Can I eat it when on a diet?

Prawn is a lean source of protein and are low on fat with only 0.5 grams of fat per 2 ounce serving, prawns are a rich source of unsaturated fat that can improve the overall health, if you are trying to loose weight , it is the perfect low fat food choice.

Question 9: Can prawns be eaten during pregnancy?

Yes prawns are a great source of iron and hence is good to be eaten during pregnancy, however make sure that it is thoroughly cooked.

Question 10: What are the nutrients in prawns?

Prawns are rich in Vitamin B-6 and B12 and the amino acid niacin known for its collagen boosting properties and it also contains iron which is important for the RBCs.

Method

Step 1: Getting the ingredients ready for Indori Poha

- Finely chop the onions, coriander leaves, green chillies

- Keep the coriander seeds, fennel leaves, salt ,mustard seeds ready

- Wash the flattened rice in a collander and keep it aside to drain the water.

- Add turmeric powder and sugar to the washed flattened rice once the water drains

Step 2: Starting the preparation for Indori Poha

- Heat a pan and add oil to it

- Add the fennel seeds, mustard seeds and coriander seeds to it and let them splutter

- Add the onions and sauté them for 2 minutes until they soften.

- Now add the chopped green chillies

- Then add the flattened rice and mix well

- Add salt to taste.

Adding the main ingredients

Step 3: Final touches for Indori Poha

- Mix the poha over low heat very well for 3 minutes

- Add a few raisins if you like

- Turn off the heat and add chopped coriander leaves and squeeze half a lemon and add

- Garnish with sev and its ready to be served hot.

Every family has their own version of a Shami Kebab, this is mine, as taught by my maternal Grand Mother.

Generations on end have enjoyed the beautiful taste of shami kebabs, the origins of which remain disputed till date.

Some say ,it was a gift brought in from the middle east by the Mughals, others retain that they originated from the royal kitchens of Awadh, but whatever it may be ,one thing stands clear ,it is a beautiful dish ,fit for royalty with its carefully chosen flavors and melt in the mouth meat.

Shami kebab is a dish that can be made with a wide range of ingredients, mutton shami kebab and chicken shami kebab remain most popular. The same can be made with tuna fish and it becomes a healthy fish shami kebab. When made with boiled eggs a healthy diet or gym shami kebab is also popular. Veg shami kebabs can be made from a variety of ingredients like paneer shami kebab, soya kheema shami kebab, tofu, jackfruit and plaintain , soon I shall bring to you recipe for veg shami kebabs.

Shami kebab banane ka tareeka kaafi aasan hai, bas thoda time lagta hai. (shami kebab is quiet easy to make however it takes a little time)

Shami kebab goes very well with mint chutney and imly or tamarind chutney.

Health wise, a better option remains to grill the shami kebab and gives you a good source of protein and healthy calories, not always do you have to sacrifice your taste buds to eat healthy.

Though this recipe is a complicated one however it has been my goal to make it as simple as possible , retaining the flavours that I best could...a simple kebab dish....a dish to please all your meat loving family and friends.

Chicken kheema → 1kg

Chana dal or split gram → 250gms soaked overnight

Onions → 2 medium

Coriander leaves → 1 cup

Mint leaves → 1 cup

One small onion → For the coarse mince

Cinnamon powder → 1 teaspoon

Cardamom powder → 1 teaspoon

Chat masala → 1 tbsp

Ginger paste → optional

Garlic cloves → 10

Lemon juice →1 lemon

White pepper powder → 1tbsp or as to taste

Garlic Powder → 1 tbsp

Onion Powder → 1 tbsp

Kashmiri chili powder → 1 1/2tbsp

Coriander powder → 2 tbsp

Cumin powder → 1 1/2 tbsp

Turmeric powder → 1 teaspoon

Sugar → 1/4 teaspoon

Salt → To taste

Oil → 2 to 3 tablespoon

Step by Step guide for preparing Chicken Shami Kebab

Step 1: Preparing the base of meat and split grams for the Chicken Shami Kebabs.

IN A PRESSURE COOKER COMBINE

1. 1 KG of minced meat ( white meat or red meat as per taste)

2. 250gms of soaked chana dal or split grams , preferably soaked overnight or minimum of 6 to 8 hrs

3. 2 Medium onions

4. 1 Tsp turmeric powder

5. 1 1/2 tsp red chilli powder preferably kashmiri

6. 2 tsp coriander powder

7. 1 1/2 tsp jeera or cumin powder

8. 1 Tsp onion powder.

9. 1 Tsp garlic powder.

10. A pinch of sugar.

11. Add 1 cup or 250 ml of water( remember the chicken leaves water )

12. 1 tsp white pepper powder.

Close the lid and let it whistle away to glory for a good 8 to 10 whistles.

Step 2: Making the herb blend for the Chicken Shami Kebab

As the cooker gets on with its whistling. let us start with the chopping issue.

In a blender add

1. Mint leaves 1 cup

2. Coriander leaves 1 cup

3. 10 cloves of garlic

4. 1 medium onion

And blend well . This is how it should look …

Now to the above mix we combine

1 teaspoon cardamom and cinnamon powder each

Step 3: Making the final meat blend for the Chicken Shami Kebab.

Now once the meat is done cooking , cool it down and transfer it to a large flat bottomed mixing pan

It should look like this

To that we add around 2 tablespoon of vegetable oil, I personally prefer sunflower oil,but it tastes best with mustard oil.

Step 4: Incorporating the meat and herb blend, for the chicken Shami kebab.

We now combine the meat to the ingredients in step 2

We also add a cup of coriander leaves again for an extra bite,at this stage we can aslo add the store bought shaami kebab masala, I personally skip that,you can also add javitri or jaiphal powder.

One must is aamchur or chaat masala powder.

Which i have added but have forgotten to click.

About 1 tsp of chaat masala powder is added.

Step 5: Shaping and frying the Chicken Shami Kebabs.

Now shape them into 4 cms circular discs

The best part about this is,I make them and freeze them for upto a month and I use it directly without thawing , just shallow fry them straight up from the freezer

Step 6: Shallow Frying the Chicken Shami Kebabs.

Shallow fry them with very little oil in a large nonstick pan for approximately 3 mins on each side,

It can also be microwaved for 2 mins for a healthier option.

Air frying is another best healthy option, however make sure to brush in with a little oil before that, air fry at 250 for 7 minutes for a soft interior and crunchy exterior.

This is your shammi kebab ready.


And believe me all that work is well worth it.

With its amazing climate, picturesque hills ,warm people and happening rock music, this small and wonderful city has a touch of Western culture embedded in the ancient Tribal community.

Filled with European Cathedrals, Grand Churches, Lush-Green Parks, Cascading Waterfalls and Sophisticated Convent Institutions, Shillong brims with Love, Laughter, Joy and Positivity.

How to utilise your time best in Shillong?

Do not fall for the commercial places to visit in Shillong and discover this wonderful place just as a localite would.

Truth be told, in spite of being a local resident, Shillong and Meghalaya is such a cauldron of amazing places to see, that believe me, even I have not till today seen everything here.

My idea of writing this, was to just highlight the fact that Meghalaya is just not about Cherrapunji or the Umgnot river but there is just so much more to it than meets the eye.

If you are traveling with children or aged parents, there are things that I have included for you too, so you can enjoy lest the trekking and walking.

I will mention the distance to the places to visit (from the Police Bazar, the Central Market of Shillong) in Shillong and the walks included so you can plan ahead accordingly.

Several people from foreign nationalities have also chosen to settle here because of the weather and cultural competences.

When To Visit Shillong?

It all comes down to what you enjoy actually, so let me break it down for you-

If you like the sound of the pattering rain on your roof and the smell and feel of the soil post rain then, the best time for you to visit is around end July to October, the waterfalls are full during this time and can be seen almost everywhere.

If you love the cherry blossom and want to enjoy the cherry blossom festival, a peaceful picnic under the cherry blossom trees or perhaps want to witness some of the best and most talented musical artists at the NH7 Weekender Music Festival, then October to November is the time for you. Also the Umgnot river is beautiful and crystal clear around this time of the year.

If you want to experience the extreme yet cozy and snug winters of Shillong or witness a Grand Western Style Christmas and New Year’s celebration all with Decorated Fir Trees, Freshly Baked Christmas Cookies and Yule Log Cake, Lit Up Squares and Santa Clause too then December to February is the time to be.

If you want to beat the heat during the heat wave, and find a pleasant haven you can head there from May onward.

How To Get To Shillong?

Air Connectivity to Shillong

Shillong has a small airport at Umroi, which is around 45 minutes or 30 kms from the main city, few airlines such as IndiGo, Air India, FlyBig (which also operates direct flights from Delhi to Shillong) operate short-haul turboprop flights to Umroi from Kolkata and Guwahati. Charter services and Helicopter services such as Pawan Hans also operate to and from this airfield. Taxis and cab services to the city that charge you around 1000 INR are also available.

However, Shillong has air connectivity mainly through the Guwahati airport or the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport at Gauhati . It has daily flights from all major airports and operators in India . Tickets may range from 2500 INR to 12000 INR depending on the season.

Shillong will then be a journey of 3.5 hrs or 115 kms from the Guwahati Airport.

From here you can take a Taxi to Shillong, for anywhere between 2500 INR to 3000 INR depending on your bargaining skills.

Shared taxis are also available.

Airport bus shuttles to Shillong are also available. You can check the Meghalaya State Transport website for the detailed timings, fares and tickets in advance.

Railway Connectivity to Shillong

Pertaining to its hilly terrain, Shillong does not have a railway station.

3. Krang Shuri falls - Amlarem, Jaintia Hills.

If you are a travel enthusiast, the pictures of Krang Shuri (which in the Khasi language literally translates to “Krang” meaning Cave and “Shuri” meaning Sword making it “The Cave Of Swords”), must be a common thing in your instagram reel feed.

So here, to break it down for you.-

1. It takes around 2.5 hours to get there from Shillong, and is approximately 87kms.

2. To get to the falls from the road is a tedious trek along a pretty steep path, not really suitable for the elderly.

3. Once you get there the views are breathtakingly amazing with the water gushing from a substantial height forming a glass-like curtain and falling straight into a natural, glistening pool of the most bewitching blue shade anyone can witness in a lifetime.

4. Swimming is allowed only in certain seasons. Even though a trip to the magnificent Krang Shuri Falls seems incomplete without taking a dip into the ultramarine blue waters, try and avoid getting into the water during the rainy season.

5. Entry fee varies depending on the season, professional cameras are allowed at extra charge.

4. The Living Roots Bridge - Cherrapunji.

1. The locals here are famous globally for the art of manipulating tree roots to make bridges, this is a natural-cum-man made wonder nested 3 hours or 90kms away from the city centre which is a site to behold.

2. A trek along a small path will take you to a marvelous bridge system with a crystal clear, pristine stream of water running under it.

3. It is a short trek, however it is manageable and the elderly can also trek along the path with ease.

4. Small shops line along the path to the bridge, selling maggi and other eatables. You can also shop for local souvenirs here.

5. It is a little beyond Cherrapunji and requires an entry fee as well as a separate fee for professional cameras.

5. Wah Rashi Falls - Syntung.

1. Personally speaking this place is my absolute favourite being a localite, with its step pattern falls and easy accessibility it is the one place I like spending my Sundays at, why???

2. It is not very crowded or commercialised.

1. This is my second most happy place for a cute Sunday picnic.

2. It is just 2 hours from Shillong and this falls is comfortable accessible.

3. You can heartily paddle in the water and have a cookout along the edge of the falls, it is just such a cute place.

4. Start early to reach by 10 am, play in the water, cook your meal, dine, enjoy and get back.

8. Umiam lake - Umiam.

1. As you enter Shillong, towards the right you will see the majestic Umiam lake or as it is popularly known “Bara Pani”. It is an artificial lake with its inception during the British era.

3. You need to spend a day here for sure, take a boat ride and enjoy the sunset, and eat at the local Cafe Orchid.

9. Pdengshnong Lyngkhoi River

1. This place looks like a magical place, straight out of a fantasy novel, just 40 minutes or 17kms away from Shillong. You need to add this park to your travel itinerary .

1. Bananas -> 2 to 3 ripe softened

2. Vanilla essence -> 1 teaspoon

3. Jaggery or saccharine -> 1/2 cup 100gms approx

4. Brown sugar (optional) -> 1/3 cup

5. Oats flour -> Flour of 150 gms oats

6. Baking powder -> 1/2 teaspoon

7. Baking Soda -> 1/2 teaspoon

8. Walnuts -> Kernels of 4 to 6 walnuts

9. Oil -> 1 tbsp optional

10. Chocolate Chips or raisins -> A handful

11. Butter paper -> To cover a rectangular 9 inch baking tin

Method

Step 1: Getting the Oats Walnut Banana Bread batter started

- In a bowl take 100 gms of jaggery or sugar, skip it if you want all together or replace with sugar free as per your will and 50 gms brown sugar

- Then add a teaspoon of vanilla extract- Add in 2 to 3 ripe bananas- Mash well with a spoon- Next blend 150 gms of oats in a blender, add 1/2 teaspoon each of baking soda and baking powder to the blender before blending.

- Once the oats turn to a fine powder

- Add it to the banana mixture and mix very well

Step 2: Adding the remaining ingredients of Oats Walnut Banana Bread

- Now add 4 to 6 walnut kernels

- 1tbsp of oil ( optional)- Set it aside for 3 to 5 mins.

Step 3: Getting ready to bake the Oats Walnut Banana Bread

- Line a rectangular pan with butter paper- Pour in the batter

- Cover with chocolate chips or raisins for a healthier option.- Bake for 30 mins at 180 degrees

I Love it right out of the oven. Tastes great when cooled too. However nothing ever remains for me to know how it tastes the next day.

- Honey soy sauce -> 1 tablespoon

- Garlic cloves -> 10 to 12 cloves

- Hoisin sauce -> 1 tablespoon

- Tamarind sauce -> 1 tablespoon

- Salt -> As per taste

- Fish sauce -> 1 tablespoon

- Red chilli powder -> 1 teaspoon

- Corn flour -> 1/2 cup

- Peanut butter -> 2 large scoops or 1/2 cup

- Sugar -> 1/2 teaspoon

- Ketchup -> 3 tablespoons

- Black pepper -> 1 teaspoon

- Oil -> 3 tablespoon

- Lemon -> 1/2 teaspoon

- Sesame seeds -> 1 tablespoons

- Chicken or fish masala -> 1/2 tablespoon

Method

Step 1: Starting the marination sauce.

In a bowl- Add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, use honey soy if available , if not add soy sauce with half a teaspoon of sugar.

- 1 tablespoon of fish sauce

- 1 tablespoon of tamarind extract

- 1 tablespoon of hoisin sauce

- Salt as per taste

- Chicken masala

Step 2: Marinating the chicken

- Mix the ingredients well- Add 8 to 9 cloves of garlic, chopped well

- Wash and add the chicken pieces.

- Chicken breast cut into thin pieces gives the best result.

- Mix well and leave for 15 mins (optional)

Step 3: Adding Cornflour

Once the marination is done, add half a cup of cornflour and coat the chicken pieces thoroughly in it.

Step 4: Frying the chicken

- Shallow fry the chicken in the oil of your choice and set aside to rest

.- Do not overcrowd the pan

- Fry for 3 mins on each side.

- Double fry for increased crispiness.

Step 5: Starting the peanut sauce

In a bowl combine

- 3 tablespoons of ketchup

- 3 to 4 chopped cloves of garlic

- 2 large scoops of peanut butter ( unsweetened)

- Add half cup of water and combine well.

Step 6: Making the sauce

- In the same pan , add the sauce and stir well on a high flame.

- Add black pepper 1 teaspoon and salt to taste.

- Mix the chicken pieces

Step 7: Sprinkle sesame seeds and toss in with lemon juice
